DId mine too a few months ago. I filled my holes by fiberglassing them over and feathering out with glazing putty. Did not clearcoat as I wanted to maintain the stock flat black look.

haha i did that months ago and just figured it looked good. didnt even realize this was on here. but i have been scepticle of the wire mod as im notwanting my fenders to rust after i cut a big *** hole in it and i cant locate a grommet big enough to do it.

what kind of paint did u use? id like mine to look stock as well if i do it.

Automotive paint spray with an HVLP gun. Had it color matched to the Onyx black and it blended it great.

No, not at all. Get regular flat black spray paint and do multiple light coat blending each one out a little further than the last. Guarantee it will look great.

No extending necessary,they ended up a little on the "taut" side, but they worked fine with no detrimental stress on the wires...

My wires were long enough, definitely some tension on them but I did it over 3 years ago and no problems. I did have to cut the one vacuum line and reconnect with a small vacuum connector, but other than that, no cutting. I ordered some 2" rubber grommets from McMaster Carr. Had to order 25 minimum in a pack so if anyone wants some let me know.
