Front Plate ;[
STUPID NY!!!!!!! Up here you've gotta have everything and at the same time, cant have anything. Tints- Not legal, Loud exhaust- Not legal, No Front plate- Illegal. Hell, Just having a nice car that isnt falling apart from the potholes or rusting away from the 9 months of winter and salt on the roads is asking to get pulled over!!!! The list goes on and on...........
Ive only had my Camaro for a few days, and i dont have a front plate. The local cops sure have been staring me down though. Im probably going to keep it off until i get caught, or i want to get a billet grill and put the plate behind that. That way it is still visible and it is still on the front of the car, but it wont look as bad.
My front plate is off but i keep it in the back seat for when i get pulled over and i just throw it up on the dash. Its funny how ignorant SOME cops are, i had the blacked out tailight covers, a cop pulled me over to tell me that my lights were dim cause i had an alternator problem and i should get it looked at right away, i innocently asked if he thought i could make it home without any trouble, he said yes, i thanked him for the help and was on my way

It's for SAFETY!!! More like fundraising! When cops pull you over, do they stop in front of you? Hmm, no. When traffic cameras get you if you run a red light or if you zip through EZ Pass without paying, they get you from the back. I live in NJ, and I can assure you that I will never take the tint off my windows or put a front plate on my TA.

im in VA, but my car is tagged in Arkansas, no front plates!!
i took my plastic stock grill out b/c i bought the Z here, in VA, and the dealership drilled holes in it to mount the plate mount, thankfully it didn't go through the front.
when i quit being cheap, ill put in a black billet grill!!

Here in KS, I never worried about a tag up front, I even painted my bird to stand out, the only thing I got a ticket for was driving at dusk with only my foglights and parking lights. The car looks wrong with a tag on the front.

iowa requires them aswell but i dont have a plate on anything i own. i have only been ticketed once for it but i have been pulled over many times. im just blatently honest about knowing its ileagal and tell them im not changing it. often thy look surprised and just give you a warning. i often bring up the point that i drive a 91 firebird that has been registered in iowa since new and the front bumper has never been drilled for a plate. its funny though, i have been pulled over in my truck and they never even mention the missing tag. maybe its a sportscar thing.

I got yanked for no front plate a couple weeks ago. He gave me a ticket for the expired inspection and a "fix it" for the plate. I zip tied it to my grill, showed them the car, then cut that sumbitch off when I got home.

I live in Cali too (SF Bay Area), but the first question I always get when pulled over is "is this _your_ car?" phttt.
I've never had a car that looked good with a front plate, so they always stay off. Only got hit for it once, though- came out of work one afternoon to find the ticket on my windshield! quota-slacking bastard.
