Default Gauge LED question

i kno the gauges use #74 bulbs. i am in the process of re-doing my whole interior and when I take the dash out I want to change the gauge bulbs to LEDs. Now with the Pontiacs and their crappy red filter would using red leds or white leds be better? Any other options for getting a different red glow from the gauges than from haolgen bulbs? tuk me 5 min to type this on my PSP haha

did you get the bulbs with the holders already built onto them? And what if I want to get rid of that red film on the back of my stock gauges? or do you take those stock overlays off? Pardon my ignorance!

Yeah, www.superbrightleds.com has a crapload of LEDs already in holders.

Can't answer the film question as I do not have a t/a. Sorry.
