You are not alone. I hit a curb once with my SLP boxed 3pt SFC once. The SFC has a big dent in it now and the curb has a chunk missing (it was a corner in a parking lot).

Dude, panal paint that bitch, It will match... Go to a shop, have em DA it down, skim coat it if the scrapes are into the panal, prime and paint that. If you come out to my place I can hook you up. Black is easy to match panal painting... Or better yet we could blend it into the door.

My wife did that to my front bumper on the passenger side. She didn't realize where the front end was and drove up on a curb stop in a parking space and scraped up the underside pretty badly. Of course it was my fault since I lowered the car... at least that was her logic.

The whole front bumper needs to be cleaned up now since on the power tour, while parked at one of the venues, it appears as though someone didn't realize my car was behind them and they backed over my front end and put a nice 2" square scratch in the front end. Oh well, at least it is on the front bumper.

Call your insurance company they might fix it up for you...It's not worth it if your premiums go up tho.

I did this in my '94 TA at McD's. I was so upset that I never ate there again. Made me sick to my stomach. The food was good though.

Hope you get that fixed soon!

You could've repainted the panel, but the color matching will never work well becase of the weathered nature of the door above it. It's not worth doing at the body shop. Use these tips to repair it yourself.

Get the closest bottle of touchup paint from Advanced Auto, wet sand in one direction with 2000 grit paper only, and use liquid metal polish on a micro fiber cloth for 40 seconds rubbing per inch. Then follow up with you favorite cleaner type car wax.

p.s.- That must be a sting, but you can do a decent job to fix it for now. Make it a weekend project. ~Joshua
I did that with my front piece of my ground effects. I used the duplicolor matched to my paint code(ask them they can match it). with enough coats of that and the clear and wetsanding the coats and what not you cant tell the difference. Whole fix cost me around 20 bucks. Here is a pic from a few feet away you cant tell the difference.

This thread makes me feel better, I was coming out of a bank and the curb on the drivers side cut sharp to the right and I forgot about the isle curb and next thing I hear is an obnoxious loud noise coming from the pasanger side of my car. I come out look and my lower rocker panal is layhing on the ground. ****. It scraped, tore, and cracked my rocker panal. I kicked it back in to place untill I got home and snapped it back into place, now I need a new rocker panal.

The scrapes are pretty deep so would this panel have to be completely replaced if it were repainted or what ?

Also in the first pic , is it just me or does that gap look gigantic ?

I know how you feel man. I did the same thing to my brand new wheels at Mc Donalds drive thru.
