Angry I'm a dumbass :( *pics*

Well I've been pretty sick lately and very much out of it. Tuesday night I went to burger king to get some dinner , went through the drivethrough and not paying attention smacked the curb when pulling out.

Well this morning I go to leave for school and here's what I see

The scrapes are pretty deep so would this panel have to be completely replaced if it were repainted or what ?

Also in the first pic , is it just me or does that gap look gigantic ?

-I know the car is dirty, I've been sick

Check the tabs underneath the car in that area where your front quarter panels bolt in. Are they pointed straight down? Lots of times garages wont use rubber stops on them when jacking up your car and they bend them causing your quarterpanels to flare out.

I can't resist giving $.02 of advice...

You could've repainted the panel, but the color matching will never work well becase of the weathered nature of the door above it. It's not worth doing at the body shop. Use these tips to repair it yourself.

Get the closest bottle of touchup paint from Advanced Auto, wet sand in one direction with 2000 grit paper only, and use liquid metal polish on a micro fiber cloth for 40 seconds rubbing per inch. Then follow up with you favorite cleaner type car wax.

p.s.- That must be a sting, but you can do a decent job to fix it for now. Make it a weekend project. ~Joshua

Good advice...Since the damage is so low, it can be made to look pretty good.

Thanks alot josh, I will give that a try since it would be a long time before I woudl be able to get anything repainted anyway.

do you all think there is no chance that it would ever look right if it was repainted ? And if it could would I need a new panel or is that one salvageable ?

that sucks. If you do a quick fix it won't be too noticible since it's on the bottom
