Got into my first accident.. Advice needed
Can anyone tell me the best way to approach this? How much money it's going to cost me to fix? Am I better off buying a new hood?

You need to pull the bumper cover off and inspect the styro and the impact bar. If they got bent or damaged in any way, you will have a hard time getting the headlight covers and the hood to line up with the bumper. It's def worth the look and those parts are on ebay all the time for cheap.

Don't file a claim unless you really have to. Was there damage to the other guy? If there was, and it is your fault, then you won't have much choice but to file a claim so the other guy can get his repaired. If that's the case, then go ahead and do what sgt0704 said....

Still, I bet/hope damage total to my car is less than my $500 deductible.
the hood runs $780
bumper cover, if needed, runs $490
add in paint, shop materials, and labor, and any bent support brackets.. and you are looking at a chunk of change ..
best bet is to grab a used one from someone that has already swapped their hood, or take this opportunity to upgrade to an after market ram air (the same price as a new non ram air hood) or pony up the bucks for a new OEM ws6 hood, $1950, or find a used WS6 hood online from someone.
