Default best soap for black paint?

alright guys i just bought a new black truck and was wondering what was the best soap to use on it? It might be our water that sucks or maybe the soap but i want to see what yall use for your black paint? i am currently using meguiars (sp?) soap and its leaving water spots or kind of look like soap spots but not sure. So i was wondering whats the best way to wash it and dry it so no spots are left? thanks

Waterspots are usually caused by insufficient rinsing and hard water. In the case of hard water, be sure to dry your vehicle off so that they don't get a chance to appear. Re-wetting the spot and drying it immediately will take it off as well.

Also, if you're washing and drying the car whole and are a bit slow, opt for doing sections at a time. It IS tedious to wash, dry, and repeat four or five times, but the time is well-spent when it comes to giving your car a quality wash.

insufficent rinsing and poor drying technique, and probably some sort of hard water issue are your likely culprits, not the soap .. any decent car soap/shampoo will work fine. rinse well, dry quickly, never in the sun ..

smaller sections at a time will help, and if your water is really hard, look into getting a ater filter to use when you are washing/rinsing.

I would say save your money, don't waste it on the Mr Clean
