I use a blade on the windows, t-tops, and my BLACK b-piller with nothing but success. but I use a chamious on the rest of the car, its white, water spots don't show, but scratches dom so why risk it.

I use waffle weave MF towels for the paint because of the nap, like NightWindDriftr mentioned, after sheetign the water off.
I also use the electric blower if I am going to leave it sitting outside, or am getting ready to use the PC on it, just so nothing runs out the trim. My water is softened and filtered, so if it does drip in the garage, it doesn't spot, so I don't always drag the blower out.
I got the waffle weaves I am currently using from ZaneO, and really like them.
1) Keep your towels clean and look at them carefully before you start using them. If you see dirt/grass/whatever stuck in them get it out.
2) If you use an Absorber, keep it REALLY clean. It has no nap (depth of the "fingers" of the fabric), so any dirt on the surface is going right against your paint.
3) Don't use too much pressure when using towels. If you find yourself rubbing out water spots, you need to either re-wash that area or use some quick detailer to get the spots out before wiping them down. Pressure = swirls. Let the towel glide over the surface and let the "fingers" wick the water away
4) Work in the shade if at all possible.
5) Do your final rinse without a nozzle on the hose and let the water "sheet" off. This will reduce spots.
I'm also using the PakShak towels I bought from ZaneO and I'm very happy with them.
