Updates:

We will be taking our SS out to VFN positively. The car will be good to go next Friday, so we will take her out to VFN on Saturday. As with our last test fit, we will take tons of super high-res pictures and if we have some time, a video or two. The purpose of the video is to give a nice feel for what it would look like as if you were moving around the car. Last test fit we had a bunch of requests for outdoor pictures. I'm not sure if we can do it, but rest assured, VFN is more than accomodating for anything we ask them, so I'm sure we can figure something out!

You guys can expect a huge update containing pictures, videos, and a genreal review of the test fit time. Look for that sometime in the evening next Saturday, the 12th.

NOTE: If there are any specific types of pictures you want to see, be sure to post up and we will make sure to get it!

I second that, I've been contemplating a new hood, but this looks like a winner if the price is right. That chop looks damn good, if only it were paint-matched.

Chop of VFN hood design. Proportions seem a little off. I would assume that the cowl height will be about 2-3 inches.

I really like the second chop better, goes with that body style.

It's going to look GREAT regardless!

I was worried that the "ripples" in the LS1 hood would not flow with the square headlights of an LT1, but the first time I saw that chop my mind was immediately changed. Now that I've seen the LT1 version chopped I still think the LS1 version looks better. What I'd really like to see is that same first pic chopped with PIAA round headlights, like the car in this pic has:

I think the combination of the more muscular hood, "whistler-esque" headlights, and the non-catfish looking front bumper would make the perfect Camaro appearance package.

The LT1 version looks to square compared to the LS1 version. I don't like it. Hopefully it's just the way the picture looks. We'll see when the new pictures are put up on the 12th.

Hey, right on. Thanks for putting forth the effort to photochop that Jeff. Although in reality the PIAA's will be sunk in further, (with the hood overhang giving it more of a "frown"), and ever so slightly smaller, I think what's there flows pretty well.

If the finished LT1 version turns out to be more like the 2nd photochop, I think I might still invest in the LS1 version with the intentions of doing some tweaking on it to get it to fit.

I'm buying that hood!!! I've been debating whether to buy the SS hood or a cowl, don't really want either but if this hood is affordable then it's on my shopping list. Looks like the Dick Harrell hood to me, got that wide low profile to it, that's awesome!
