Dark Tail Light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Dark Tail Light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, my left tail light on my WS6 seems darker than the right tail light and when I apply the brakes the left tail lights appear to be very deem from the inside. What can I do to brighten up???

Its not the bulb. They get some kind of black stuff inside of them and I ended just replacing the whole tailight. It makes it look dim and the light inside gets reflected incorrectly. I havent found a good way to clean it.

The way he described it makes it sound like a bulb. It must be an un-common error. What was the "black"stuff like? It could have been plastic melting?

I'm pretty sure it got dark from water getting in there. Take it out and take a look.

If it is the lens, its a simple replacement.

Otherwise, if its the actual bulb not getting proper voltage and dimming, check you ground wires and the body ground leads. sometimes a littel corrosion can interfere with the ground connection and cause tail lights to appear dim on one side. A loose ground wire can do this too.

Whatever happens, post back up and let us know.

Yep, its water in there for sher. I have the exact same problem right now. How much did you guys pay for your tail lights?

Its just as WS6drop described, its not the bulb its the tail light itself, were can I get a replacement at a good price guys???

I went to a junk yard and bought mine. I think some of the sponsors may carry one.

my drivers is doing it too.i got water in it also.i took the pass side off and put i real thin layer of black silicone around the whole edge of the light.so since iv'e done it,i noticed the pass hasnt changed color.it worked for me,so if you have the same problem,buy a new light and seal that **** up!

try drilling a small hole in the bottom of the light to drain the water out
