Default Hood adjustment PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

The corners of the OEM SS hood aren't lining up with the fenders very well. It is bugging the **** out of me. The corners sit higher. I've already adjusted the rubber stops and it didn't help the corners very much. The only thing I can think of to do is to drill another hole for the hinges and adjust the bitch from there. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

I'm attaching pictures just for reference. The first two are from the inside and the last one is a side shot of the hood and fender gap.

Thats real bad. Is it just on the back? I can't even make out the first 2 pics!

I'd say you either need to adjust it more or deremel all those holes for more adjustment. FWIW, I had to deremel mine and do some crazy mess to the fenders and bumper to fit my hood. Its still not close to perfect, so now the rest of my fitting is me working on the hood itself.

The rest of the hood fits well, just some minor adjustment from side to side. The only thing is I need to bring the back of the hood down. This is an OEM SS hood so I thought I wouldn't be messing with **** like this. I was wrong.

So the only way to bring it down would be to make holes? Any other suggestions or is there a way to bring the back down? Let me know. Once again I am very meticulous about the appearance of my car and I don't want to be riding around with a misaligned hood.

Thats the only way if the the hood isn't flat with both parts of the hinges already. Look and you should see if it can. Use common sense on that one. One other thing I haven't done was, maybe the lower hinge that is bolted to the car can go down?

I looked at where the hinge bolts to the hood and it seemed as if there is about half an inch to move the hood closer to the hinge. Also it seemed as if the lower hinge that is bolted to the car cannot be moved much because then the hood corners will hit when the hood is raised. Thanks though for the response. It seems as if everyone else is doesn't have much input and they just like talking about the same ol' **** (hockey stripes, berger, ceta, etc).

LOL, no problem. If its a question I can help with, I post up. Okay, so you see the gap and their is room to adjust down. I don't remember for sure, but the stock size holes might no let you adjust it all the way down. You might have to dremel one of the hinges. The part that bolts to the hood or the other half. I'm not sure it matters. You'll have to figure that out. Mine was bad, I deremeled all the holes big for max adjustment.
