? about paint gun size

? about paint gun size I'm wanting to try painting a front fender I'm good with a spray can but understand that the 3PSI coming out of a can is not enought preasure for something big like this front fender.
Not planning on painting the whole car and am finding that most shops want to charge almost the same to paint a fender as the whole car.
My wheel repair man had a small paint gun about 1/2 the size of a regular gun will little gun work on a fender?
if yes where to buy I'm thinking I could save a few $ just on size of gun.
if no where should I start looking for a paint gun?
I've sean cheap ones at autozone & Lowes & sears, sean medieum priced ones at summit tools expect to pay ? for a desent gun?
I only plan small touchup stuff & parts never the whole car (well maybe if this fenders looks professional.
