Default *PICS* LT1 engine bay pics.

Decided to add some bling to the engine bay while in the midst of installing the LE2 setup...

Things are either polished or powdercoated. The ac condensor and brake lines have not yet been polished. Anything that is red will be either chromed or polished.

x3 on the valve covers. Looking very nice. I notice you still have the factory airbox. I kept mine as well but purchased another cover so I could cut it out to expose the entire filter. Who knows if its worth it considering where the air comes in through the hood being somewhat small.

Valve covers are from ebay.

...but these that I found I paid $85.00 on ebay. I cannot find them as of right now. Just keep an eye out for them.

how did you go about polishing the fuel rails, and how did you make those valve covers fit when in the auction they say they will not fit cars with the notch in the passenger side cover?

The link that I posted probably will not fit an lt1 due to the alternator location. I cannot find any listed on ebay to the guy that I bought them from either, but Ill contact him and see if he has any more available.

The fuel rails polish up very easily. Just grab a towel and some polishing compund and you're set. I did mine with them off of the intake, so it may have been a little easier that way.

I'm taking mine off as well. You didn't use any sandpaper grits? Just like polishing compound and a towel? What about a buffer.

You can use a drill and them 'fluffy' white wheels and some polish on them. I did NOT sand the fuel rails at all. I dont see a need for it really, unless you have scratches in yours that you would like to get rid of, etc.
