I think the carbon fiber would look much better than the painted ones. I'd much rather see stuff like intake elbows, slp style intakes, and valve covers in carbon fiber.

+1, for the functional.

And, I'd rather clean up the area around the intake manifold than cover it.. A nice "clutter control" kit for all the vacuum tubes and fuel injector leads, maybe new lines and hoses as necessary to get a clean look for example...

I agree that a carbon dual tube ( Slp ) style CAI would be bad ***

There's something to that
I'd rather make my engine something to admire rather than cover it up

Different strokes for different folks. The world would be a dull place if we were all the same. ~Joshua

What are the chances you'd make this kinda stuff?

Very little. As you can see the stuff is expensive and it costs $450- $750 just for each tool/mold.

As this poll here and in the LT1 forum shows there is no way to make our money back (@ $25-$40 profit per part) given how little LT1 owners are willing to spend on their engines. We would lose money... lots of it.

We will make an intake cover though because it may sell and it won't cost too much for the tooling on that piece.
