I am actually doin a big no-no when it comes to putting HID lamps in a housing meant for halogens. Mine will have a shield to hopefully limit the glare but I will shoot some pics when its done. I really only mentioned it to you since the pics show a lot of glare. A lot of guys have retrofitted projectors in their LS1 camaros and it looks really good. I would do the same to my car....but I just dont have the room for it unfortuntely.

my friend Brian took a few pics last night out at woodward...it doesn't glare annoying like everyone says they do.

there's not very many things legal about my car in the first place anyways so some shiney lights are the least of my worries
Lights look good. Do not worry about housing and all that bs. If it passes inspection then you are legal. Just keep it pimping.

haha yeah thanks Urban Legend.....funny part is since i've had them, i've yet to get one person to "flash their brights" at me.... but then again...my town is full of escalades, ranges, Beamers and Benzes that all have 'em anyways.....

i've never had an "inspection" i've never heard of that here in Michigan...hell if they had that, 3/4 of the cars wouldn't be on the road haha...

They look good to me. If you wanted to without messing with your own housings, you could go to a junk yard and try finding some headlights off of a wrecked car that are in good lens condition and then buy some projector housings from another wrecked car of some sort and custom fab the projectors to fit in the stock Camaro housing.

As far as I know, fabbing up a set is the only option for fitting projectors onto our cars. I don't believe there exists a kit that we can just bolt right in. There's someone on here that went with TSX projectors and they look fantastic! I think it was LS1_SS, who was also working on a kit (which was quite expensive).

It would cost you a bit of time, and much more money, but IMO it's worth the full step. Not ragging on your choice, and hell they may not be blinding anyone, but why not make a good thing better?

Just my opinion. Don't let this stop you from rocking your HIDs. They do look good, but "just saying".

yea dude, the lights look pretty tight - not gonna lie. makes me wanna go out an do it, but, i thought someone once posted that projectors in stock housings wuld end up melting the housing? not to mention wuts already been said about the light pattern. thats why they got certain "projector housings" to make them a bit more traffic-friendly.

still a really tight setup tho. i think it looks 100x better than the blue lights u had before.. great job!

Pewter00SS...they're the 8000K's

a friend of mine has a pretty bad *** Stratus RT, and he got another set of housings for his car and is going to attempt to make a HID housing out of his stock ones....if his works out for him, we're gonna do the same to mine...

i know they could be better, but it's a start...i just like being able to see the road again lol...i work at a tint/detail shop, and all my cars/trucks have always been all tinted out...including windshield...currently i have 35% on my windshield, and at night especially when raining (if im unfortionate to get stuck in it...or now my sister has my DD ranger cause she totalled her GrandPrix....) anyways...you can't see ****....and it helps a lot...

oh and about the melting the housings....i've never had that happen in any GM vehicle...sometimes the harness might melt, but that's pretty rare, the only cars i've ever had problems with the housings or the harness are VW's

yeah my friend was going to get the 6K's for his TrailBlazerSS..and i was like "ok get me the 8's then" and then he ended up getting the 8's because he didn't want mine to look better

i've yet to get 1 person to flash me their brights so i would have to say all you "glare police....don't know what you're talking about...just going on someone else's word and not your own experience"
