Thumbs up Painted my Lid!

Well since my tranny blew up I figured I might as well do some little projects that I've been putting off. First up was my Wisper Lid, I did a real simple rattle can job that I think came out great. But you be the judge

Before

During

After

In my dirty car:

Took me about an hour and $5 worth of paint.

looks good, but it being nice and white makes the dirt, grease, and gime elsewhere stand out........simple green the hell out of everything......

Looks very good!! I want to do the same thing with my plain old SLP lid. It looks too much like every other lid out there.

Yup, just plain old Krylon Fusion, no prep work no primer.

Cool

As mentioned in another thread, very nice, very trick.

One tip though, over the next year during the times you need to put the lid back on never touch the white paint with your hands when trying to get the tabs hooked into the lower airbox.

It doesn't look like it was clearcoated; if not- as soon as possible you should carefully remove the Z/28 decal and apply several layers of clear. That will make the lid look glossier and it will keep the "newly painted" look for several years if you only touch the outer border(edge) when removing/installing.

Honestly, I thought it was just in primer... I saw it in the other thread as well.

Maybe it's just the pic... Does it look more gloss white in person?
