Black tar

i got some like black tar on my car, and i have tried scrubbing it like crazy and it didnt come off.. what could i use to get it off?

Clay bar should do it. I recommend Griot's Garage stuff, it's pricey, but well worth it.

I used some stuff from Autozone called bug tar remover. I had to do a couple applications but it worked.

Mineral spirits will remove it. Then wash area and re-apply wax.

Goof-off works well as does wax and grease remover.

Try “Tarminator” tar, grease, sap remover.worked wonders on my brothers white truck.

I would also recommend the claybar. I used mine this last weekend to remove all of the car in the wheel wells (on the painted surfaces). It took everything off. If anything remains on yours, try some of the different suggestions to get the hard to remove spots.

mineral spirits or lacquer thinner work well...just re-wax the area after you get it off!

you can use WD-40 too...anything solvent based really...just make sure you get it all off and re-wax the spot!
