What is SAFE?

The previous owner of my Firehawk put on a rubber bumper type piece on each door, to prevent any damage from opening the door into another car. Well since these are hideous, I removed them. Unfortunately there is still some glue or sticky stuff, or whatever held the bumpers on, left on my car. I got more of it off using my fingers, but I can't get any more off.

So my question is. What can I use on the car that would remove that gooey stuff and not ruin the finish and the paint????

I was thinking rubbing alcohol, but I don't know if that will cause any damage...

A home item would be preferable if possible, I dont wanna go out and buy somthing special.

You could try rubbing alcohol. I don't think it will do any damage. I used r/a before I put on my overlays and nothing happened. If that doesn't work or you don't want to use it try a clay bar.

yea, I used r/a too for my PONTIAC decals, but those are covered, so I dont have to worry about paint damage.

I used automotive Goo Gone, found it at Autozone. A clay bar will work, as well.

Goo Gone will take out any beef your doors may give you. Won't hurt the paint, but you will probably want to wash the area when your done as the stuff is kinda greasy.
