Just an idea and maybe someone can photoshop it, but what if you paint the scoops pewter instead of black and leave the rest unpainted, with that section in the middle coming down the nose to a point like in that last photoshop.

i think the best way to go with paint would be black sail panel and fully paint the hood to the car and have some ram air style stirpes made so that it goes along with the raptor hood.

Just an opinion/idea though, cant wait to see how you finish it.

I like it on a TA but I think it would look too overpowering on a Formula. I'm sure its nicer in person and I think you need to paint it quick or get rid of the gs stripes for a little while otherwise the combo looks a little out of place. Just what I would do though. Good luck with it. Anything other than the stock flat hood is an improvement on these cars.

Yeah im leaning towards a solid pewter paint job for now. I dont think I want to go nuts with it because I have other plans for the future that would alter the front enough. And I dont want it to look like TOO much.

I got the hood from US Exotics, they are very limited production. Check ebay every so often he has on up for auction.

I got lucky and was able to meet up with Roger to get this all taken care of. But keep checking ebay has he's been having auctions for this hood.

As for the black, im not sure. I'll probably go ahead and get it painted. I thought about stripes too. I really dont know what to do. I even thought about painting it black with the sail panel and spoiler. Maybe the headlights (I really want a custom fixed headlight with black face and HID/halos) but thats not in the plans for a while. A roots blower is really my next BIG project.

If anyone has any suggestions about paint/stripes please post em up!
Firstly, AMAZING!! The air opening looks huge!

I got my outlaw hood from Roger too!! I've had it almost a year and haven't painted it. DOH!! 2 reasons, friend keeps backing out, and I can't decide to go white or stay black and do something like you said, with the sail panel
