running lights keeo burning out

my running lights keep burning out on me........it's either the amber coating on the bulb will burn off or the light will stop working all together

why does this happen?......i feel like i should buy stock in these damn lights and i see alot of firebirds and T/A's driving around with one running light out too.......I need help from the experts in here

Try the "LL" or long-life bulbs. They have a thicker element in them and seem to solve the problem for most people.

How does the connector look...all burnt and dry?... Is there any water or condensation building up in the housing? Pick up some new blubs and apply some electric grease.

If your getting water in the housing it will cause the hot bulb to burst when it comes in contact with water. I drilled small holes in the bottom of the housing and it appears to have solved the problem.
