#1 swirl and scratch remover
i used the scratch x and and nxt wax took car of the swirls but soon as i washed it they came right back 
Am i doing something wrong ? It looked good when i finished but maybe i missed a step . I went scratch x , meguires polish then nxt wax. should i have used a cleaner or is the polish the right step ?

Walk us through how you normally wash and dry your car. Please be specific, including type of soap, mitt/sponge/etc., type and (if possible) brand of towels.

3m scratch remover works well by rotary with a foam pad(wear dust mask for safety reasons). Follow up with Mothers powerpolish by fine foam pad. Finish with wax of your choice.

I have to agree with the process part.
I posted a ton of pics and the process I used to take car of the swirling on my car in the below link (also a black car). Prevention is what's going to make it last.
