its fine as long as the paint isnt in sunlight or hot. if its hot itll streak the wax if u have wax on it but it shouldnt hurt the paint unless its so hot that the clearcoat is melted

Maybe i got use to it but I don't think washing a black car is that hard. I never get water spots or runs anywhere on the car. I soak the car, use z7 car soap (I'm generous with the soap) w/ a 100% cotton mit doing small sections at a time, high pressure rinse then take the nozzle off and rinse it again letting the water sheet off, lift the hatch to let the water run from it, let the car air dry for a bit and dry the rest with a microfiber towel and apply z6 detailing spray afterwards. It works very good for me. It looks damn good for the next 10 minutes before it gets covered in dust.

I just wash with my favorite car soap and use the absorber if im in a hurry and I dont really get any waterspots except for the back end where water drips out of all the little cracks and crevices while your driving. If ive got time to kill ill wash, let it air dry and use the quick detailer or wax the car.

I wash my car with Meguires Car soap, dry with a absorber towel, and keep a California Duster handy. I really don't think it is that bad keeping a black car clean. I kind of enjoy cleaning my car.

I'm with Frey, I enjoy all the time I get with my T/A.

The layout/facing of my house leaves me no real choice but to wash it in the sun but like it was said before, always keep it wet. I spray it down and wash a quarter, then wet the whole car, wash another quarter, wet the whole car, etc.

The best thing I've found is the simplest, microfiber towels, like some other people said. I'll never use a shamois again. Wipe the car down with a plain terry towel to get the majority of the water and then detail it with the microfiber. My cars/bikes have never looked so clean. Makes the glass spotless and everything. And I live in vegas, the water is crazy hard out here.

Then I pull it in the garage and give the wheels a little one on one time.

I use a sponge with a microfiber cloth on it and some baby soap in the water for less spots. Also try not to let it sit do a section at a time like rinse-wash-rinse 1 side so the soap doesnt dry up on the car then do the other and hood and nose. when done just rinse the whole car with a final spray with just water then dry ASAP. Then go drive around for about an hour and its dusty again LOL. Ya 1 of thoses california dusters are a must for back. If you wax try to find awax that is made for black I have a clay base made for black and red with no clearners or anything just wax works great. I dont have to let it sit or dry just wax on then wax off lol.
