New tach / interior shot
...and I agree with the other two guys. All you needed was a shift light, or maybe a shift light + one of those little gauge style tachs.
However, I don't care for the look of aftermarket tachs, but some people like them. If you like it, its cool. But I would go out of my way to avoid having a noticeable aftermarket tach.

Also i thought the point of a monster tack was to mount it on top of the dash so you could glance at it easier without taking your eyes off the road.

P/N??
Yeah a monster tach provides better vision but usually thats for dedicated race cars. I didnt want a monster tach sitting up on the dash. I wanted it semi close to the factory position and not blocking anything or impeding my vision of the road
If I wanted a tiny little display for the tach I would have gone with a digital.
As it is I use those ltttle square guages for n2o pressure and a wide band coming shortly.
Yes just a shift light would surfice for hitting my shift point but I wanted an accurate tachometer as well. It comes into play a lot more than the casual drivers who responded seem to know. I dont sunday drive in my car its built for performance for a reason.
Funny reaction here in the appearance section. Seems like most of you that repsonded dont have a clue about performance and the reality of it.
While I was at the track Sat night I got a lot of compliments on the look of my car. Even had one guy take a vid of the interior, he loved the tach and is going to do the same.
Honestly I used to feel the same way. Why would anyone go with an aftermarket tach. Then I got into performance and understood why there was a need for it.

I also felt the same way until I started seeing how inconsistant my shifts were with the logs, even with just a shift light. ESPECIALLY after making my car quicker, the stock tach just can't keep up.
An aftermarket tach will help with the accurate readings to anticipate a shift.
I don't need a "LOOK AT ME I'M AND ATTENTION *****" tach, just something small and simple that gets the job done.
Thanks the info.
But whatever.....

. it was a joke.
