Not sure the height of the hood but it's the only height the offer. Fits great!

I did a lot of research before I bought this hood, and I was aware of the fitment issues, but a lot of guys had no problems at all. So it was a crapshoot, and I lost.
I'm gettin ready to have my car painted, so this would be the time to change the hood. The guy who did the paint job estimation on my car ($2400, which is reasonable IMO), remarked on that gap. I don't know about you, but it really pisses me off when people notice a flaw in my car I thought might go unnoticed to the unpracticed eye.

I would HIGHLY recommend getting a smooth Sunoco hood... Check out XtinctZ28's car:

I'm sure you could sell your Ultra-Z hood for the price it would cost you to buy a Sunoco (normally $500 but ls1tech members get 10% off EVERYDAY so the hood is $450 NORMAL PRICE, let alone if you get in on a GP)

I did check out Xtinct's car, and the hood rise is a little too extreme for me (I need a more badass car to justify that), but the 2.5" looks to be about perfect. Thanks again for the replies. Valueable input and it's appreciated.
