I have seen 2 of them in person and both are crappy quaility and fit. The hood and tail were both cracked.
I was looking at a Mecham hood for my Z28 and my body shop guy (who fit one of those) basically told me that I could get that hood if I wanted to, but he wasn't going to fit it to the car.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the look of the Mecham, but be prepared for substandard quality.

fitment on mine was almost perfect except around the headlights. 10 mins of adjusting the headlights to come forward and it was perfect.

I wouldnt get it for myself. I've never liked that hood but to each their own. It's really what you want not what others think you have to live with it everyday . So if it makes ya happy get it I have also heard things about it not fitting right.

Good luck with it if you do or havent already. I've had mine done twice and still cracked even without the hood struts connected to it, so Im 2g's in the hole, with a shitty looking hood on my car now.

I've seen a Pewter 'bird with the Mecham hood at the Trans Am Nationals. It looked pretty nice.

I don't like it, and don't get it on anything but a black car, black cars hide bad body lines, and with that hood, more than likely it wont line up right.

No problems with this Mecham. (hit link in sig)
Don't forget to get lighter-load struts.
Contact the guy at "Pinks" in Canton, Ohio to see if he used any
special additives when he shot my hood.
