Default Keyhole lock fell out of t top, searched, solution?

my key hole lock fell out of my t-top and hit me in the head WHILE DRIVING recently haha lol, and i searched and couldnt find anything about it. Do i just need to find a way to jam that SOB back in there?

any ideas? should i be worried about it flying off?

Thanks in advance.

No worries about it flying off. The key lock doesn't hold the panel in at all. It just jams the latch so you can't unlatch it. As long as the latch handle still closes, it's as secure as it'll be.

Also, it's not hard to take the plastic trim off the t-top. It's just 2 screws I think. The inner workings are very very simple. You should be able to figure out how to get the lock back in.
