'97+ Taillight conversion and DRL!
'97+ Taillight conversion and DRL! I was wondering what all would be needed and how hard it would be to get the Amber DRL's from the '97+ into a '96 Z28. I LOVE how they look with the amber running lights on during the day. Also what is needed to convert the tails from the '93-'96 tails to '97+ also. Thanks guys~Cole~
well the tail lights should pop right in...they fit a little bit different, but they should work. because once i had VHT nightshaded my taillights, and i got a "fix-it" defective equipement ticket, so instead of stripping the nightshades, my buddy had a '96 Z28, and i just popped out his tail light and threw them in my car just to drive to the popo station and get the ticket signed off....DRL's i have no clue on though?
f- the amber drl's just get clear corners... looks way better and u wont be dissapointed... as for the taillights it should be pretty cut and dry... i put altezzas i got for free from my friends 96ss in mycar an 01z28 just to see how they looked (horrible btw) and the wires just barley made it but fit fine.... you may need to go to autozone and rent a wire strecher
What i don't understand is what bulb goes in the amber slot? Just curious because i thought the same bulb that goes on when the brakes are hit is also the turn signal. If not then i can see how it would work but if i'm right the ambers would come on when the brakes were hit. I'll look at them. Thanks for the help guys. As for the clear corners, i was planning on that too. I had them in my '00 V6 Camaro and i LOVED them. ~Cole~
