My new Mod :)
I do have one problem with the car by the taillights but it has nothing to do with the hatch. My car has had mishaps after mishaps....none of which were my fault. First thing that happened was while I was sitting at a stop sign a 24ft Budget truck in front of me started to back up for no reason and I had no time to do anything to get out of the way. He came right over the top of the car, putting a hole in the driver's side front fenter, scraping the hood and front nose part all up. It cost $1700 to fix it all of which the paid for. The shop that did the work gave me a lifetime warranty on the paint. BTW this was in Feb 2001 just 4 months after I bought the car. About 2 months later the paint started to chip in the front wheel well so I took it back to the place to get it repainted. Well just 15 minutes after I dropped it off the dummies working there had left my car in neutral and no parking brake on and it rolled back into the rear of a pick up they had just got done fixing
. It put a big hole in the rear bumper, broke the passenger side taillight and pulled the passenger side quarter panel out. Which leads me to what is wrong now with the car. Apparently when they were putting the new rear bumper in they didnt hammer out the body right so it's curved along the tailight/center filler area and that part the hatch doesnt line up. I plan on hammering it out with a rubber mallet. I had taken it back to them at the time because I noticed it didnt line up there nor along the bottom edge of the taillight and bumper...isnt flush. They said there was nothing they could do. I said well it wasnt like this when I brought it in so fix it. They still were adament they could do nothing.Anyway sorry for the long winded story. There's even three more weirdo mishaps that have happened with the car
