My new Mod :)
. It worked out great though. We used blankets for padding and 150ft of rope to hold on. Our 245 mile trip back to VA went smoothly with the exception of a torrential storm in the MD mountains. Today Tim and I installed the hatch on my car. I must say although I knew the T/A hatches were heavier I couldnt believe the difference in carrying my old one back into the house. Took all my might to carry the T/A one
. Tim had to drill out my lock though because it decided to act up and keep locking before the hatch would hook all the way so it wouldnt close. I modded my tailfiller so I never use it anyway. If all goes as planned I should have this painted in 2-3 weeks. I know...Looks kinda funny now doesnt it?
Here's a pic of it up on the roof and it installed

Hehehehee..Yep
. Dedication
. I'll be sure to post pics when its all painted. I also will need to get it tinted. Mine was tinted when I bought the car and it's pretty dark. This one has none on it at all...I feel naked to the world with it like that! Trending Topics
. I can hardly wait till it's painted
. I got a good price from someone local to do it....about $200 cheaper then everyone else quoted me. There is one thing though and that is I have a bigger gap between the rear fender and hatch on the driver's side. My stock hatch fit the same on each side. There doesnt seem to be much of any adjustment from side to side. The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Thats the exact same thought I had when I took mine off. Glad ya made it back ok. Those pics of my 442 look great, any chance I can talk ya into making a sig for me out of it?

Thanks so much again for the great deal and sorry if we made you late for your concert. I'm sure you wouldnt have been upset had you missed it
hehehehe. Anyway it was a nice trip up there and back....something different and fun to do
We also proved all the naysayers wrong that said we would have to get a huge truck to get it here. (naysayers that we were talkin about when we were there)
. George.... we didnt have any troubles with the hills actually...pretty much went 65mph the whole way. We went a little slower till we stopped at a gas station/general store off of 68 and tied the hatch down more through the back of the explorer. I guess the fight you almost had was because you said played some of your music instead
. Tim and I couldnt have stood the concert you went to!Thanks again for the compliments on the car. Like rocketman442 said there's more pics in the link in the sig. I need to take some recent ones soon. I just wasnt doing much with the car last summer and havent had time this summer.

Very funny
. We thought that too when it was up there and did get a few stares when we made a stop at the gas station. Too bed I didnt get a pic of it without the blankets over it
