Removing the FACTORY 3pc Spoiler
Removing the FACTORY 3pc Spoiler What all do I need to do. I know That The side pieces(2) Bolt in and I would need to get the quarters taken care of. Which I have that under control. I want to go with a 96 SS style spoiler or 98 at worse, in either case I know I will be much happier with over the factory 3 pc. Untill I get the new spoiler will I need to put a stock spoiler on that has no "top" piece or will that spoiler come off with fishing line?

The middle piece is just double sided tape, fishing line/goo gone will get it off. and im not sure but the side two are just bolted in there and im assuming the bolts should be somewhere around where your spare tire well is
my girlfriend just ordered my SS spoiler tonight from thespoilercompany on ebay for my birthday 
so no more ugly 3 piece for me. so how do you plan on getting rid of the holes in the quarter panels?

I don't think the factory SAP spolier looks bad at all. I like the SS spoiler better but I hate those 2 stondoffs that come down from the SS. That is why I'm keeping the factory 3 piece spoiler for now. That and I don't want to paint my quarters.

Thats actually just a chop though, my car has the chrome SS 10 spokes but i wanted to see how it would look with painted black ones. it was the only picture i had readily available.
mike02z, check out the mecham spoiler.
its the same as the SS spoiler, minus the middle supports but has the led brake light like the newer one.

1) open rear hatch
2) pull the plastic liner off of the top of the hatch(inside part)
3) this will give you access to the middle piece, there are two nuts on each side, you cant miss them.
4) unscrew them and the middle piece will come right off
5) for the two side pieces there is three nuts on each side
(which really pisses me off cause now i have 3 holes to fill) go ahead and unscrews them and you good to go. and like i said before the middle piece is double sided taped to the stock spoiler.
