GAUGES & Lighting! I'm wanting to change out the gauge cluster in the camaro, but don't really have any Idea what i'd like or where to get em, can you guys post some pictures of your set-up during the day and at night pictures.
Also what have you guys done as far as lighting goes, these cars are dark as hell at night.. Want a little something to give me something to see a little more than whats in there, but don't want it to look rice-ish... I was thinking about some dark blue lighting.. What you guys think?
Please post em up, i've used the search but just haven't found what i was wanting...

For interior lighting, try LED bulbs. The hyperwhite leds add a HID-like look to the interior and improve visibility a lot. Of course, you can go different color LEDs if you want, but I went with white in the map lights and dome light. It looks great with my HID headlights. Also, my aftermarket headunit makes the interior glow when I have the display turned on constant. Helps a lot when you need a little bit of light and dont want to turn on the interior lights. Just another example in case you want to go with something other than neon lights.

Well what i'm worried about with the LED's is I want my interior accent to basically be a dark blue. But the LED's i'm afraid will have the "white blue" kind-of look to them. But neon's seem to be way to bright...
Anyone post pictures of their lights if they have blue interior lighting for at night? I don't want to have my interior lights on the whole time... Also how would I wire this? I'm an electronic newby here... Sorry guys if this is a dumb thing to ask...

I agree, these cars can be pretty dark at night. There are a lot of different colors to choose from but I've always liked red so that's what I went with (plus it matches the dash lighting). I bought a couple 5mm LED's from oznium.com and they're awesome. The pics don't do the true effect justice but my interior is lit up enough you could develop photo negatives in there ( lol! ) but not too bright to distract you from driving. I know you're looking for blue but the following pics show where I placed my LED's and the effect I got, so maybe this will give you a few ideas. As far as wiring goes, I used two seperate switches ( 1 for the top set of lights and 1 for the lower ). Since I used LED's, they all had to be wired in parralel (each requiring their own power and ground wires instead of being able to just hook one directly to the next)
1 LED in the front center of the head liner and one in the rear plastic dome light plate.
1 LED in the driver foot well as well as the passenger
