Rattlecan paint question??

Rattlecan paint question?? I was trying to paint some extra interior peices that I had lying around. First, I sanded the peice until all of the texture was off and ended up with 320. Then I used Bulldog adhesion promoter and did a light coat and then a medium. Then I used a duplicolor primer, heavy build, and sanded that smooth with 320. Then I used High temp black spray can paint and did 6-7 light to medium coats. This is where I had a problem. I noticed that the paint dried with a texture. I wondered if it was because that type of paint has ceramic in it to help with heat. Then I sanded that down from 320 and finally ended with 1000. Then I used a high temp clear with ceramic and after 6-7 coats, it dried with some bad orange peel.
What did i do wrong and what should i do about the orange peel. What should I sand it with and then polish it with.

wet sand the clear then try buffing it....
