Default Some Motor and Interior Shots Of The T/A

Sorry no before pic

Motor.. i washed it and detailed it. Here was my process. washed the motor by hand first to get rid of some dirt and grime. Then took it to the car wash and sprayed with the engine/tire degreaser let it soak then sprayed it off.. took it home toweled dried it off.. i had really no deatiler. so i put tiny bit of meguiars NXT interior cleaner on the black.. Well here is the motor

Now here is the interior shots. nothing special at all.. Btw shifter is Pro 5.0 and i cut the pro 5.0 stick 1.5" and it wrapped with the 'HURST' ****

I wouldn't wash it too often. Knock sensors are a pita to replace...

They listen for pinging/knocking..and they are underneath your intake.

They're these.

They go in those 2 holes under the intake. See the one torwards the front, you can see in the aluminum where the water sat, and seeped into the hole. It just rusts the sensors away after time.

oh, It's not in the picture but there's a wire running to each with a rubber thing that plugs into them.
You can search for what they do.

Yeah I though It would evaporate too. But there was still water standing in them when I took it apart. I'm still going to wash my motor. I think I water proofed the sensors. Back on topic! motor looks clean.

Damn your engine came out great!... The QTP sticker really takes away from it though.

Nice engine bay, but I agree with removing the QTP sticker. Really distracts from the rest of the clean bay. I've washed my motor dozens of times and no problems with the knock sensors. You just have to use some common sense and not apply high pressure or I don't even use a regular hose's pressure, just a slight mist. I then blow it dry with a leaf blower. No problems and I've been washing mine since 2001.
