Default Dammit...clearcoat peeling near driver's headlight

Like title says, there is a small patch of clearcoat peeling. It's down to the bare paint on a portion about the size of a paperclip. The clearcoat is coming off all around that, about the size of a quarter. Should I try to wet sand the area and apply some kind of clearcoat from a can?

NO dont do it, if the clear coat is gone then your best bet is to mask off an area, sand away the clear that is peeling away, then scuff up the paint some, respray a layer of paint blending it into the paint around it. Then you want to wet sand the paint some to smooth out where you blended. Spray some clear coat and blend that in as well. finally wetsand/polish the clearcoat and it should come out pretty good. there are a lot of decent bodyshops around that will do that for around 100 bills or so.
