just wondering, was there a redesign for the trans am interiors like camaros. also, is the interiors on the 98-02 roomier then the 93-97?

I had a 96 TA before my 02 TA and there were differences, but to my surprise, I saw a 97 with some of the features I thought GM saved for the new models. My 96 had a wobbly center console that opened from the front, where the 02 has a side opening one, and it was more sturdy. They put drink holders for the back seat passengers and that famous passenger side cupholder that folds out from the dash. But again, I think those were available from 97 up. Also, digital mileage, instead of the rolling odometer. Now my 96 was cloth and the 02 is leather so I don't know for sure, but the sides of the seat have a ridge design on the composite part. Other than that, I think that's about it.

i had a 97 v6 firebird before my t/a and i believe the interior was the same (minus the leather). but that was an auto and my t/a is m6 so i'm not sure if the center consoles remained the same...

yeah the 97 is very similar to the 98+... only things i've noticed different are the seat controls, headrests, and the color (I think gray was the darkest color available opposed to the 'almost black'/ebony in the 98-02)
the 93-96 have quite a few differences though, such as the entire center console
