Default Firebird Lack Chrome

I have been noticing that alot of parts on firebird are not sold in chrom aka door handels, gas tank, side body stripe above the firebird letters. And whats weird about it is they offer these parts therre usually decals. Anyone else getting frustrated over this or is chrome not the style?

Nope. I'm one of those sho subscribe to the idea that crome belongs on wheels, grills and trucks. But that may just be me.

No offense but the parts you mentioned (door handles, gas tank door, body stripe) would all look ricey in chrome but that's just my opinion.

chrome is not the style. chrome accents like u described belong on luxury cars.

There is a Trans Am around my area that has a lot of chrome moulding (such as door handles and around the wheel wells) and honestly it really cheapens the look of the car.

i actually LOVE chrome....it looks best on black or dark colored cars. yes if overdone...it could cheapen the look of the car...but done right looks insanely badass...i have chrome decals and stufff...howeverr i would NEVER do chrome door handles, or gas door...that would just look dumb and out of place! BUT...
if i had the money i would chrome EVERYTHING under the hood EVERYTHING!!!!
Chrome & Performance...im with you man
thumbs up for chrome here

x3. IMO the body stripe doesn't look good on TA's at all (if your talking about the one you remove in the !molding mod). I just did the !molding mod and it looks alot better. But on the subject of chrome, if you over-do it the car looks like crap. But if its right then...

Less is more. If you want to accent it thats cool but don't go overboard. Chrome emblems are nice, but chrome molding and door handles would be silly. Do a little research and get a theme going don't just buy everything off the shelf that comes in chrome.

Accent is the key word through all of my sentences.

I agree that chrome parts that you listed (door handles, gas lid, etc) would look bad.
