Tinting Windows

Tint is a great appearance mod...Legal in MN is 50% all around (which is not dark at all) so I went with 35% all around and on a white car it looks great and is plenty dark for me plus I haven't been pulled over yet. Go at least 35% or darker or dont even waste your money.

Tint is a must! My roomate just got his done yesterday and it changed the entire car. Looks Great!! I never really noticed how much better it made the car look until I saw his untinted and then tinted.

My rear and sides are 35% that's how I bought it. I only had my entire front windshield tinted 50%, but im going to take off the sides and rear and replace with 5% in the summer, cause there purple and too light for my taste. All my cars have 4 sided tint and I love, I can drive towards the sun at anytime without hesitation.
The only thing that sucks is if im driving when im drinking I have to worry about the window's.

[QUOTE=SS4Matt]Tint is a must
Limo is 1%-5% depending on the shop and what film they use, basically used to name the darkest tint carried at whatever location (5% is limo at my work) shades/color of tint vary from different brands of tint, and different product lines of tint.
5% on my hatch, 15% on my sides, 35% on the windshield...yeah it's dark
5% on hatch and sides on my friends formy
That camaro looks absolutely awesome, what a car.

Man, I don't know how you guys with the limo tint drive your cars at night. I had 20% on my truck in college and could not see a dam thing out the windows at night. Turning corners involved leaning forward to look around the A-pillar. I now have 35% on the Camaro and that is difficult in the dark. I almost backed into my friends car once because I could not see it out the window! I am all about making a car look good, but if it impacts functionality is has absolutely no use to me. And personally I think a tinted windshield and super dark sides kill any realistic functionality. I don't know how you guys do it, but just wanted other to keep that in mind with these mods. I got the tint because I was tired of the hot interior in the summer and it makes the car look nice, but as I said, I did not want to go too dark as I drive it all the time.

Hugger z,
I can see clearly out my front windshield at night and very rarely do I have trouble with my sides. Just wanted to say I understand what you mean, it's better to be safe than look cool. And if this were to cause harm to anybody or myself I would not have this done.

the policy of just doing it then showing up at home with the tint on there would solve the parent problem. as for preference on it...i like it a lot on colored cars but im not a fan of a super dark tint on a white car. my truck i have 17% on it and it looks awesome, but if my car had it, i think it would look trashy. if your car is white, go with a light tint, like a 30 or a 35 aka 27 or 32. if your car has color to it, go 17% aka 20 percent. there is no reason to go darker than 17/20. it makes a bitch of using mirrors with back up lights, but its not that bad. if you went down any darker than that, you couldnt see ****.
