Default Anyone ever use this stuff?

i bought this 3 step meguiars kit it is a paint cleaner then some polisher and then carnuba wax. Hopefully i will get a good chance to detail my car this sat and i will post some pics. let me know if you have ever used meguiars products. i was told that Mothers is the best. unfortunaly i can never find any of that stuff at the auto parts stores around my house.

I have. Meguiars is about the only stuff i use. And it works great on som.

If your going to wax and all that you might what to ues a clay bar before you do that. And try to use a micro fiber towel and a orbital buffer to take it off. The end results are awesome.

Post some pics anyway i love som SS.

I use it everytime and it works great. Except instead of the "step 3" I'll substitute whichever wax I wanna try. Meguiars Gold Class isn't too bad.

I like to substitute Turtlewax Ice for the "polish" step and Meguiar's NXT for the "wax" step.

But, yeah, so long as you do the three step (and claybar maybe) it's gonna look great!

I actually tried the Paint Cleaner to take out some scratches and swirls and it was useless. If you do not have deeps swirls and scratches, it should work fine. I use the NXT wax and then cover that with the Gold Class wax. Looks killer! Seems that more than 2 layers of is redundant.

i am a little worried about using the paint swirl remover with this damage my paint if i do it wrong. my car realyl doesnt have any scratches just some swirls the paint has 5 years on it but the car only has 6000 miles

i have used all of them...i honestly didnt think the first two(paint cleaner and polish) did that much...kinda useless...i love that wax..it doesnt last that long but give a great glossy look. I tried the NTX after i ran out but i think ima go back to the carnuba wax

i use the Mothers 3-stage system and the results were outstanding. i remember doing it on my buddy's Subaru Outback with that wierd purple color, and it was amazing in direct sunlight. before we did everything, we peeled off the dealership decals that were on the car it's entire life, and of course the paint underneath was perfect. all the surrounding paint looked like **** compared to the gaping spot behind the decal. i never thought the surrounding portion would look as good as original again (compared to the decal area). well, after i did the Mothers paint cleaner and polish, it actually turned the faded area back to looking BETTER than original, then waxing it afterwards made it just that much better. the stuff really does work, and i'm sure Meguires does just about the same thing.

the megs three step is a good process.. as for what wax to use .. depends on whether you like the look of snythetic, or carnuba.. i would recommend, depending on the needs of the vehicle

after proper washing and claying..

step 1
step 2
nxt (2 coats)
Meg's # 26 or Mothers pure carnuba.

I am not a big fan of Meg's gold class .. I think it looks awesome, but the durability is not very good, in my opinion. #26 or Mother's Pure Carnuba is a much better solution, if you are looking to top with a carnuba.

your probably right...i wax my car every few weeks and its garaged so i guess there wasnt much imporvement that coulda done to the condition it was in...i did the 3 step thing once and was so annoyed and tired at the end that probably made me not wanna do it again lol
