I need to find who sells it too. ZL1's had it as an option so somebody has to be making it. I want to have the black and white inserts put in the center of my factory leather to go with the rest of the black/white thing I have going on. Let me know if you find a place. I haven't checked with any upholstry shops yet. They may have places they can get it from.

i checked with the local fabric store but they cant even order it. there was an upholstery shop around here but i went to check em out and they burned down 3 weeks ago!!!!! and ya know not just the zl1's came with the hounds tooth. you could get it with 3 diff color interiors as long as it was the deluxe interior. my car came factory with the black n white houndstooth, im making custom covers for the fronts (their not 68 seats). my car wasn't even a z28, just a v8 coupe car but it has all the deluxe interior and exterior options.

I meant ZL1's as in the 02 ZL1's so someone is still making the material. I realize it was an option in all 1st gens and the 30th anniversary cars had it as an option as well.

i honestly didnt know they made a new zl1! i knew they started making the zl1 engines again (very pricey), but that has to be pretty bad *** to have an 02 camaro with an all aluminum 427 inch big block under the hood! i do remember john moss made one and it was black , but i didnt htink it actually made it into production, with how they had to cut the bottom of the windsheild an all to clear the intake. cool though.

How can you be into Camaros and NOT hear about the new ZL1's??? GMMG built 69 of them. Base motors were the 400hp LS6, there was a Phase II that had a cam, heads and headders for 475HP and the Phase III had a built C5R block putting out 600HP. Houndstooth was an option for the interior and when I decided it would look sweet with the factory leather and just the centers being houndstooth.

i was being sarcastic , i.e. if it aint a big block it aint a zl1!! period. you can say all you want about it being 427 inches and all but its still not a zl1. its like when they came back out with the malibu. that was bad enough but at least they didnt call it a chevelle!!!! calling the 02 427 car a zl1 is just plain wrong. the one john moss made was RIGHT. it just takes away from what a real zl1 car is. thats the problem with gm now (or just past 1973) stick some badges on it and raise the sticker price. look at the new ss truck!!!!! it gets it *** kicked by every other sport truck on the road but gm put badges on it so we must cherish it like it was really a rice ride!!!!!!!

So it can't be a ZL1 because it's not a big block? It's a ******* small block with over 600HP!!! What more do you want?!?! If you're so old school...why are you on this site?

I know of a company that will most likely have the original material used by GM, however, I can almost guarantee its going to run you a great deal of money. I'm not too sure about posting non-sponsor stuff on here, but I'll PM you their information and hopefully they'll get you on your way.
