Default Glow paint?

I sure hope that others have had this idea before me, but...

Has anyone ever seen any cars with pinstripes or lettering that glows in the dark? Apparently there are some very strong glow paints now that can last up to 12 hours, is almost clear after application, etc.

I was thinking it might look nice on the "Ram Air" lettering on the hood scoops. Dunno, want other's opinions / experiences...

It might look cool just to pull up next to a black WS6 at night on a dimly lit street and only see the glare of headlights ahead of you, and looking over, you see "Ram Air". Some may claim rice, but I would counter by saying any idea has a place if tactfully done on our cars.

I've heard of the glow paints but have yet to hear of anyone using them or see it in person. It would be different but might get old after a while.

HoK (house of color) makes Kosmic Long-Glo, a glow in the dark product. Definately not rice....great for airbrush work.

What about reflective paint? I've seen "stealth" cop cars that are all black but if light hits it at night their whole logo of city/department will appear.

Cop cars aren't normally painted. They have reflective decals on them. There was an 02 B4C at Camaro Superfest that was from a local precint and itw as burgandy with barely noticeable black stripes with the police precint on it. I'm sure they were reflective at night.

I guess this is what I was talking about. Yeah it's a decal but I couldn't think of anything else.

I thought about that with a stripes on the hood scoops, i.e. it wouldn't be noticable until the light hit it just right. I'm betting it would look really sleek.

Autozone has some pretty wild **** in their rattle can section. I've the the glow stuff there, and the reflective stuff, too. The glow stuff dries clear.

Gator cutsoms has been doing that for a while. Search their name online and you will get the website. I would post the link but I think it might get removed since there are not sponsors. They have some awsome stuff and pics.

There's a couple of manufacturers of glow powder/paint that I've found. The prices for a pint are very reasonable, and as mentioned above, some pigments dry clear. The best I've found seems to be glowinc.
I may get a pint and see how it would look on some old part that's lying around. If it looks nice, might consider putting it on the "Ram Air" lettering or some other spot, perhpas getting a vinyl sail panel bird and covering the bird before application.

they have paints that reflect very brightly when light hits it at the right angle, and vinyl that does the same. Would prolly be a lot cheaper than glow in the dark stuff and possibly look better!
