black corner lenses?
black corner lenses? yeah, yeah, i know... search function. well, i did that, but couldn't really find the answers i wanted. i know there are several different ways to black out your corner lenses, but i'm wondering what the best method is. use the stock lenses and VHT them? paint them? sand them first? buy clear corners and VHT those? what would be the best way? i saw pics on here the other day of some that looked like they had been painted a gloss black (not sure what thread) and i thought they looked pretty amazing. i think they were sanded first too. anyway... any feed back would be appreciated guys!

I sent them to a guy from LS1Tech. He sanded them down and used clear with a little bit of black paint mixed in. They are AWESOME! I have a set of clear sidemarker lights I'm thinking of sending to him to black out.....but they don't make the clear ones anymore....so I hate to waste a set.

yeah those are the same inserts he's using, they are great. the guy at GS is awesome with cust service. i had a set both the fog and turn warpped a little and fell out. so he is sending me out new sets free of charge.
mrws6speed- yeah, i think it WAS your car that i saw. those things do look great. this guy that painted them for you, can you PM me his info? also, can you still see the lights through the lenses like that or are they completely non functional not?

not hard at all, materials are dirt cheap, just make a template and use a scroll saw to cut em. there are different shades of how dark you wanna go. you could probably even use different color acrylics.

Hmmm.....that actually disturbs me a little. I love the blackouts (those are the ones I bought from GS-Creations on Ebay).
BUT....I didn't authorize him or even know that he was using pictures of my car on his ad. Does anyone know his LS1Tech screen-name?
