Custom Grill Finished - pics
Well as some of you may remember I posted a while ago with a poll asking which grill to buy for the Camaro. After much deliberation I decided that I didn't want to get a billet grill, didn't want to have no grill, and didn't want to paint my stocked in the same way everyone else did. So what is left? I went through the process to get a completely custom, one-off paint job on the stock grill. The ideas started off slow, but I quickly found that anything I came up with could be possible. Jeff Seick was the guiding eye in this project and was very kind in letting me help with every step along the way. I wanted to do as much of the work as I was capable and he was more than happy to guide me along in each step. I recommend him to anyone that needs just a repair, or completely custom work done. He is extremely patient and is willing to make sure you get EXACTLY what you want. Once again huge props to Jeff - THANKS !!! Now for some pics-
The original piece:
The holes needed to be filled and sanded, after doing that, it was sprayed with sealer which acted as the primer ontop of the plastic:

Process continued
After sanding the sealer, it was time to lay the black base of the camaro lettering in the front:
After the lettering was sprayed and the paint dried, we masked off the lettering and laid down the pewter ontop of it. When the pewter dried we busted out the airbrush and worked some magic. When it was done we unmasked the letters and Jeff laid the clear down over the top. I think you will agree this grill came out looking AMAZING. The finished product was beyond my wildest dreams and the pictures do not do justice to the amazing work done:
A HUGE thanks to Jeff for his time and patience, if anyone in the chicagoland area needs work done, send me a pm. I'm sure you could also ship pieces to be painted if you wanted to. Hope you guys like it !

I've been trying to decide if I should fill in the wholes under the stock grill like some have done...but seeing this has made me wonder. haha. I am honestly shocked at how good that looks. Could you tell me how much he would charge for that? You can PM me if you'd rather not post it.
