Default rs ground effects

i am seriously considering taking the ground effects kit off and was wanting to know if there was anything that i should know before i do. i know it is going to leave holes in my rocker panels. but will it leave holes anywhere else? and do i need to plug these holes with anything? also how is the spoiler secured to my trunk lid?

thanks,
kyle

Most people have said just to leave them on. Takes some work to fill all the holes and repaint.

I took mine off, filled the holes with bondo and used touch up paint. It's not very noticable, but the holes are there. I plan to lower it soon, so they will be even less nopticable. I don;t have the money to get it professionally filled and repainted, but I do think it looks alot better without the kit.

The 3 piece spoiler is PITA to get off. the middle is just double sided tape, but the two side pieces have 3 bolts in each quarter panel and are also double sided tape. youll need a hair dryer to get them off.

I didn;t remove the spoiler, actually I think the spoiler looks pretty nice with-out the ground effects.

That would be my route if I ever made the decision.

I didn't like my "S.A.P." either but it has slowly made it's way into my approval. Fact is, I really dig it now. Once you take it off you might want to consider it forever off. Just a thought.

If I had ordered my car new I would have skipped the 1,348.00 "Sport Appearance Package" but since it has it I'm OK with it.

I think the stock z28 looks way too plain. But, i prefer the smooth lines of the SS much more over the stock RS package, if i would have bought my car from the factory i would have put the 1,348 towards an SS
