Default Corbeau seats are in!

So after a little struggle with a few of the bolts, my new Corbeau CR-1 seats are in ... now, I need some harnesses and a cage LOL

Oh, and how do you guys have your seatbelts set up? I broke that stupid plastic holder thing .. will just take it off I guess.

Very nice seat man!

I'd love to have those in my Firehawk.

Well once you get a roll bar the seat belts won't be such a big deal at least with mine they loop through the bar so high that they are up around the should about perfect.

Have some wierd questions for you.

How tool are you?
If you tilt your head back is your neck able to go back at all or is the seat in the way?

Reason I ask is I have stock leather and a roll bar and I'm trying to decide wether to sell the setup or get some Corbeau's at this point if I got rear ending I don't know if I'd make it my head could hit the bar....

I will assume you were asking how "tall" i was .. not if I'm a tool Anyhow, i'm 5'9" and my head would hit the seat if i got hit ...

Those seats look awsome! Can I ask you how much they were and where you got them (a sponsor maybe?). I have been thinking about doing new seats in mine also.
Were they a pain to install?

<------ Jealous. Great seat. So did they just mount to the factory brackets, or did you have to buy some universals?

I bought them from a friend, including the corbeau brackets. She never installed the seats or brackets, and got them for $775.

I have a Recaro Speed on the driver's side, and I just put a blank, plain, black pad on the belt and rest/hook it on the upper "wing" shoulder bolster when I exit the car. Some zip-tie the stock plastic holder to the seat via the harness opening(s), but I did not want to do that (marks/indentations/wear, etc.).

Once you get harnesses, do you plan to use them, or the stock belts on the street?? I ask since (especially being in Cali) cops can pull you over just for using harnesses instead of factory belts. Even if you argue that harnesses are safer (questionable without a helmet), they can say that NONE of the SFI/FIA approved sets are D.O.T./N.H.S.T.A. legal.

On top of that didnt they just pass a law to make it legal for cops to pull you over if they "Suspect" that you MAY be a street racer...nothing says street racer like a harness...

I want one too!
