it does look good and it would make my car unique, at least in my town. I will have to start looking into it. Has anyone had problems with the harwoods not fitting good? And now comes the question of which wheels will make it look the best and what color should i go with for my calipers??

From what I've read the Harwood hood for the LT1 fits great but for the LS1 it fits like ***...

Either rim choice will look great! What types of finishes are you considering though?

I think if you get chrome ZR1's and then paint the spokes black (as opposed to getting black ZR1's because their lip would NOT be chrome...) and then the Harwood with the gloss black stripes and you would have a KILLER car!

OR maybe the black chrome:

If you get black Z06 rims make sure you get the ones this guy posted in your other thread:

They are the ones with NO RIVETS... Not because I don't like the rivets, it's just because the ones with rivets have a rounded lip instead of an edged one like the real Z06 rims...

OR just get the chrome Z06 wheels and paint the spokes like Zack did and you will have a much better looking rim IMO:

For calipers my first choice would be body color, second choice black w/chrome CAMARO decals, third choice red.

Ok, I think that the Z06 wheels are a little cheaper, but i do really like the look of chrome as well. So I am considering either chrone ZR1's or Black Z06's with the chrome lip. What about a set of 17X9.5 chrome TT2's?

They would look great as well as long as the spokes are painted a metallic charcoal grey...

as for the wheels, do you put more clearcoat on than just a regular body paint job or is it all about the same? do you ever scratch the paint when you are taking your wheels off?

Clear coat is the same (did it on my TTII's)... ALTHOUGH, I've seen chrome ZR1's sprayed black out of a Dupli-Color gloss black spray can and they came out perferct..

I have an OEM SS hood on my car, just get a used one and get it painted, I got mine for $550, and then paint shops will usually paint for like $600 for the top and underside of the hood

Definetly with IMO... You could always start off with vinyl in case you don't like it...

There you go. I'd consider just spending the money and getting the real thing. It seems just about any aftermarket hood is hit or miss. I probably have enough money in my hood i could of bought one of those OEM SS hoods and still pocketed some money and it would fit better as well. I really don't see anyway you'd regret it. Finding a used OEM LT1 SS hood would be hard since so few were made compared to LS1 SS's were they out number z28's 3 to 1.
If you want to see an SS hood and 18" chrome Z06's look at my sig. Any rims you put on your car will make your brakes look pathetic. I'd look at getting the 98+ upgrade as i think in my opinion it looked kind of bad to see the little LT1 brakes inside my Z06's.
