Actually the LT1 redlighted while the tree was on the second yellow. I still pulled him by four cars in the 1/8th!

I also say not red...coming from someone with pewter 
. I had mine 3 different colors. First was black, then red then polished till finally the orange that's the same as on the front of the car.

I voted black. It's much more subtle, doesn't draw your attention first, and is a nice mod.
