I have really tried to think of some ways to upgrade the interior, but reality finally sets in and I give up. I would love to upgrade to all black and do some custom seats. Thats about the best you can do with these cars.

My only complaint is I wish the dash had a little more give in it to the touch, not like a cusion but you know what I mean, like the GTO's. Other than that its pretty good.1

Im with ^^ cept... not that harsh, lol. I love my car in just about every aspect, except MAYBE the window motors and rear end. I think the interior is easy to make it look good with a bit of work and some aftermarket racing seats. Most of the people who ride in the back are girls (its always better that way) and they usually dont have that much of a problem with the leg room. That hump can be annoying but hey, we got an LS1 so who can complain?

Obviously not you! I don't live in a trailor park, I don't like cheap looking interiors. I swear I WILL have my interior redone with better materials. Expensive? Maybe, but I love my baby. I have to agree though, I got the car for the LS1 and didn't give the interior any second thoughts.

A good amount of sound deadener on the plastic panels does away with most rattles from them. Right now my door panels are off and I'm trying to kill all rattles and noises from in there for my ED 6500 comp set to go in.

And a little tape ghetto rigged around your hatch latch gets that squeak too. hehe

i got the car for the exterior beauty and intimidating power. the interior - i can easily deal with..just keep good care of it, fixing things when they break. a buddy of mine who helped me install my components in the doors said the door panels are one of the easiest he's had to take off.

the plastic interior - people can make fun of. but when i run them into the ground with my stock motor pushing almot 300rwhp/323rwtq, my self esteem usually sky rockets (as well as my adrenalin and testosterone).

nothing, NOTHING i tell you, feels better than stomping little kids into the ground after they make fun of u. camaro - i love you.

the only female that noticed how crappy the interior is was my mother. all other girls just note the t-tops, or ask to drive it.

I don't think the interior's that bad. A new headunit, new shifter handle, and the chrome vent rings really changes the look of the car. The two-tone black/tan interior is also the best looking one out there IMO. It adds good contrast to the interior

could the ponitac gto seats fit in the trans am? I was thinking about putting black gto seats in my black t/a and have the gto stiching removed. I love the gto seats I personally think they would look great in the trans am if they would fit?

I think our interiors are just fine as long as you treat it well and keep it protected. I have the rat leather interior and I keep it clean and conditioned. As for the sea of plastic I do the same. My main complaints are the lawn chair seats offered and the huge steering wheel in our cars. Even though the "leather" sucks it is much better than the rental car pattern cloth seats and door areas. Take good care of your F-body interior and it will last and look great regardless of what so many people say about them.
