Yea, I wish I could own at least ONE F body that doesnt have a broken ashtray. Not for smoking purposes, but i just dont like how it sits there half open (I have slight OCD). Ill get over it though

its retarded...door panels are cracking because the windows push down on it...the panels in the back seat dont fit right...the glovebox lid is too heavy for the latch on the one side and it hangs down enough for the light to shine through......made in america baby!!!!

You're dealing with interiors designed with a 1990 mentality. You can't compare the interiors with what you see nowadays. There's been a major push for interior quality improvement in the past 3-4 years, which is when GM finally started paying attention.
Given the fact that the base V8 cars (Formulas and Z28's) were truly DIRT cheap at thier introduction, this is one of the trade offs.
I know they weren't cheap cars in the later years but this didn't change the initial design goals.

As said before, interior was not what the designers had in mind when they built these cars. Even C5's biggest knock was a cheap interior by everyone. These cars are rugged and have an awesome engine, period. Plus now that LS1's are getting up there in age the insides are really breaking in and pale in comparison to the newer vettes/GTO's.

Uhh, I like mine a lot even though it's not much different from a Silverado interior and the turning radius is about the same. The Monsoon system could sound cleaner and the seat could have more adjustments but that's it. Well, that's from a driver's perspective. No passengers like the cat-hump or the mini rear seats. I previously drove a 99 328i vert and in comparison I only really miss it's manueverability.

i love the look of the shiny black leather in my bird, but like stated the ashtrays stay broken, the speakers last a few songs, and when i lost my liscens for a month this summer i let my girl drive and the passenger side hump leaves a brotha no leg room.
