Few pics from around town

Still learning the camera but heres what a friend and I managed to shoot tonight.

The rest of the pics didnt turn out so good. Need to use a tripod next time and play with the settings.

good looking bird. that 3rd one almost looks like its hugger orange. just work on your shadows and lighting, and you will be good to go.

I like the last pic. The way the tread pattern creeps out on the tire is awesome, along with the light and shadows.

Thanks guys. I know I have a lot to learn about the camera still. My friend shot these while I was messing with the camera settings. He's got an eye for some great shots. Camera is a Canon Powershot SD500.

Heres one more that I like a lot. I just wish the lights didnt wash it out so much. I title this one "The Destroyer of Worlds" lol The crack coming out of the ground makes it look menacing.
