Detailing advice needed.

I bought my car form a guy that was very good at detailing cars so it looked great. Now 6 months later it looks great but i can tell it needs waxing again. I have all the correct stuff to use but i need to know. Should i clay bar the car to remove all the old wax and what very little bit of dirt and grime is on the front end or should I just add another layer?

You could dry it first if you wanted to because you're going to spray lubricant on it anyway. You could also not dry it, spray lubricant, and clay. Or, you could use soap suds in place of lubricant.

It'd be pretty pointless the first time around to dry it since your just gonna wash it again. the idea of drying it is to avoid water spots at least thats why I do it.
